Pradhyuman Pride is a residential high-rise development in Rajkot, Gujarat, conceived around the idea of creating a sense of openness within a dense vertical environment.
Set across 6,971 sq m (1.72 acres), the project is organized as two residential towers with a deliberate spatial relationship between built volumes. The 100-foot separation between the towers becomes an important planning gesture, allowing the development to retain visual openness while creating better access to daylight, ventilation and views. 20 storey towers with 2 apartments on each floor.
Rather than treating the towers as isolated vertical objects, the planning establishes a generous central void between them. This separation creates breathing space within the development and strengthens the relationship between architecture and its surrounding landscape.
The orientation and placement of the towers also respond to the site’s visual context, opening the residences towards the larger views beyond the development.
Large glazed openings extend the visual connection between the interiors and the exterior, while the controlled placement of balconies and projections provides shade and creates depth within the façade.
Generous openings bring daylight deep into the living spaces and frame the surrounding views. The separation between the towers further contributes to this sense of openness, ensuring that the vertical scale of the development does not translate into an enclosed residential experience.
The architecture therefore works through a balance between privacy and openness, enclosure and exposure, built mass and landscape.
Landscape is integrated into the overall planning rather than being treated as residual open space.
The spaces between and around the towers create opportunities for greenery, movement and pause. The landscape helps soften the scale of the high-rise buildings while establishing a transition between the built environment and the everyday experience of the residents.
The detailing focuses on proportion, alignment and controlled transitions between materials, allowing the architecture to remain visually composed without relying on excessive ornamentation.
Pradhyuman Pride explores how a high-rise residential development can achieve spatial generosity through planning rather than simply through scale.
The result is a contemporary high-rise development where scale, proportion, views, landscape and everyday functionality come together to define the character of the project.
